Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Fergus To completed his medical school, Internal Medicine Residency, and Rheumatology fellowship at UBC. He then completed training in inflammatory myopathies at the University of Manchester, UK. He is a faculty member at UBC and serves as a consultant rheumatologist at Vancouver General Hospital and Saint Paul's Hospital. He also started and runs the Vancouver Coastal Health Myositis Clinic at Mary Pack Arthritis Centre for which he was awarded the BC Society of Rheumatology Award for Innovation.

DR. PERSIA POURSHAHNAZARI

Born and raised in BC, Dr. Pourshahnazari completed her undergraduate degree in Cell Biology and Genetics as well as medical school training at UBC. She chose to stay in Vancouver, where she completed her Internal Medicine residency and Allergy and Clinical Immunology fellowship programs. She is fascinated by the interplay between the human immune system and the external environment. Her practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of allergic and immunologic diseases in adolescents and adults.
Don't worry, nobody can pronounce her last name properly - just call her Dr. P.

Dr. Bardi completed his Internal Medicine and Rheumatology training at the University of British Columbia. He was Chief of Internal Medicine in 2017. Additional training included a fellowship in musculoskeletal ultrasound through the American College of Rheumatology USSONAR program. Further, he trained internationally in the use of ultrasound to assess large vessel vasculitis from leading pioneers in Norway and the UK.
Dr. Bardi is a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and active rheumatologist staff at Vancouver General and St. Paul's Hospital. He is part of the Vasculitis Clinic at Mary Pack Arthritis Center. He has helped create and operate the Giant Cell Arteritis Fast Track Clinic, for which he was awarded the BC Society of Rheumatology Award for Innovation in 2021.

His ongoing research is in the areas of ultrasound in assessing large-vessel vasculitis and the diagnostic role of musculoskeletal ultrasound in inflammatory and non-inflammatory joint diseases.

JEN PAWSON
MSN, RN
Originally from just outside of Boston, Massachusetts (USA), Jen went to school originally for mathematics, and changed course to become a nurse over a decade ago. Since then, she has enjoyed working in many outpatient clinics, including in family medicine and women’s health. She moved with her family to Vancouver a few years ago, and subsequently started work as a rheumatology nurse with Dr. Fergus To.
She speaks near fluent Spanish, and can read and write some French and German as well. When not at the clinic, you can often find her exploring local parks with her dog and family!
